Maryland Land Development Company Works With the Environment |

Ellicott City (Sept. 7, 2005)- In
the 1980s, the Corps of Engineers of Anne Arundel County, were
concerned about the development of Piney Orchard and its impact
on the environment. By working with the Corps and the County, Koren Development Company found a way to satisfy all environmental concerns of the regulatory agencies while also creating an environmental sanctuary for the public Two lakes were created which became the focal point for the Piney Orchard Nature Preserve. This Preserve is a hiking and biking mecca with areas of protected land. The result has become an amenity that enhances not only the environment, but the community as well. Steven Koren, President and Founder of Koren Development Company, is the visionary behind Piney Orchard and its Nature Preserve. Koren Development respects the environment and uses a consistent approach in developing all projects. As a result of Koren’s creativity, he has been recognized numerous time including, “Developer of the Year,” by the Land Development Council of the Home Builders Association of Maryland. This award recognizes a developer’s sensitivity to the environment and excellence in design. |
